Love Rug – Free Crochet Pattern

Good afternoon.

In this hot June, I offer you a beginner-friendly project that allows you to recycle (eco-friendly).

It is a crocheted rug created from old cotton T-shirts.

So first, I leave you with a video explaining how to join the various parts that are cut out of the shirt.

This is the method I have chosen. There are also other ways on the Internet. Find the method you like best.

At this point we have our skein (or several skeins) and all we have to do is start the project!

I use it when I get out of the shower, especially in summer. It helps to absorb water and not to get the floor wet. It is easy to wash and dry. In short, practical for everyday life.

PATTERN

Materials:
– Yarn made by me from old shirts (suggested yarn: Paintbox Yarns Recycled T-Shirt)
– Hook (10 mm)
– Stitch marker

Gauge:
6 stitches and 5 rows = 10 cm

Stitches:
Ch = chain Sc = single crochet Sl st = slip stitch 2 sc = 2 single crochet in the same

How to:

Round 1: 3 ch, form a ring and close it with a sl st. 6 sc in the center of ring, sl st. (6)

Round 2: 1 ch, 1 sc in the same stitch, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, sl st. (8)

Round 3: 1 ch, 1 sc in the same stitch, 2 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, sl st. (16)

Round 4: 1 ch, 1 sc in the same stitch, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, sl st. (26)
